Legal Fees

The legal fees that I charge will vary depending on the nature and complexity of the charge that you are facing and the length of time it will take for the matter to reach a conclusion.

Fees for criminal law cases are generally based on a block fee basis and not on an hourly rate. The amount of fees will generally be discussed when we meet in person to discuss your case. The block fee, as opposed to an hourly rate, will provide you with certainty about how much it will cost to retain me as your lawyer. Once I am retained, the block fee covers all of our consultations in person and by phone as well as all required court attendances.

Once the cost of representing you has been determined, I will provide you with written confirmation of the amount. In the event that you are not in the financial position to pay the entire fee in full, we can arrange a payment plan that will permit you to pay your fees over a period of time.
